We had the pleasure of hosting our friends Shane, Darron, and Sarah in our fair borrowed city last weekend (March 16-20--also the title of a beloved Uncle Tupelo album). Much fun and frolicking ensued around the city. We even loaded up the trusty (thus far) Thunderbird and headed up to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Mountain National Park. This involved a three hour drive, during which we got to drive onto a ferry and sail across. Though I was doubtful about our preparedness, Brian convinced us all that snowshoeing to the ridge was a great idea. Right he was! I think that all five of us consider it to be one of the coolest things we've ever done.
