Commencement

Sure is hard to keep this blog updated when we spend most of our waking hours driving. We rarely get good cell phone reception, let alone the ability to access the internet for any significant amount of time. In the last four weeks, we've departed from Northern Idaho, camped in Yellowstone, attended weddings in Minneapolis, Chicago, and St. Louis, spent significant time in Cincinnati house-shopping and making offers and having the place inspected and meeting with the lender, and witnessed Brian graduate from med school in KC and Darron defend his dissertation in Bloomington IN. Now we have a couple of hours to ourselves in a coffee shop in St. Louis. During the last few weeks I've identified lots of blog fodder, but now that I'm sitting at the computer I can't think of anything else to share. I don't want to talk too much about the house because we still have lots of paperwork to wade through and I don't want to jinx anything. I will post pictures if/when we close.

Dr. Brian Turpin--he graduated 11th in his class of 200+, hence the Olympic-esque medals around his neck.

Brian and myself karaoke-ing Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" in Bloomington, IN in celebration of Darron FINALLY finishing his PhD.

Perhaps Shane's best idea ever: the D-(fence) sign he and Brian held up during Darron's dissertation defense.
