Fall Pics

I watched game 5 of the World Series in St. Louis a few Fridays ago with my friend Julie and her two kids. Few things are sweeter than watching a six-year-old enjoy the World Series. I'm sure many of my friends would disagree and say that actually winning the series trumps all. I'm from KC, though. When that was relevant to my town, I WAS the six-(eight)-year-old enjoying the World Series.

The product of Brian's first day of vacation. His ability to convey such emotion with so few details is a source of astonishment and wonder. Honestly, this face reminds me of someone I know, but I'm having a hard time thinking of who that person is.
It was great fun to parttake in Halloween as homeowners in our real house in our real neighborhood with real neighbor children coming to the door. Our friends Mindy and Kevin joined us for dinner and shameless promotion of childhood tooth decay. My favorite story of the night was the kid dressed as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (so they came back, too?) and I asked him which one he was. Michelangelo, Donatello, etc. He responded, "THE ORANGE ONE!" Kids these days.
