long-overdue

A long-overdue update. I'm rarely inspired to post these days, so we went on vacation so I'd have more material. We spent a couple of weeks in various places west of Cincinnati: Lake of the Ozarks, Kansas City, Seattle, Vancouver, and St. Louis. A few highlights below.

We took a couple of days out of our time in Seattle to make a side-trip up to Vancouver with Anne and Jim. Started out pretty cold and nasty. We're all about as comfortable as Jim looks in this picture. Brian wants me to add a pretty picture of the beach. He says he'll post one later.

We made another side-trip to Tacoma to visit our friends Jo and Isaac, above, and Dan, Brian's friend from med school.

We highly recommend the free Wednesday night concerts at Shaw's gardens in St. Louis. Bring a bottle of wine and dinner and enjoy the summer.

Sometimes, Brian just needs to be alone...
