tropical paradise, o'ahu 11/02-11/09/2006

Brian was SO ready for a vacation. After his first four brutal months of residency, we booked a room at Doug and Kendra's B&B (i.e. my brother and sister-in-law's house) near Pearl Harbor for a week.

We took the road up the western coast of O'ahu until it ran out. And there was this beach...where Brian swam alone.
Searching for polar bears and Jack and Kate and Sawyer in the jungle, hoping to free them before Lost returns next year.
To take full advantage of our liesurely vacation, we decided to run a half marathon. Wanted to do it before I turned 30. Made it with exactly three weeks to spare.
We had to race the sun to find a beach from which to watch the sunset. It sets QUICKLY!

Take two of this shot (at a l'uau). Doug doesn't like to smile for pictures. You just have to say something to make him laugh and push the button quickly to avoid a face like the one in the first picture above.
